Described what he suggested as an option in great detail so I could make an informed decision. Good personality.
I thought the Dr. had a very good bed side manner. He took his time with me, he wasn't in a rush like a lot of doctors are. The front office girl/MA Amanda was also awesome. Very friendly and just like the Dr. easy to talk to. I felt very relaxed there. The Dr. got my surgery scheduled right away for me, because he understood how much pain I have been in. I highly recommend this clinic if u need a foot and ankle Doc.
Doctor Haynes was the best. Took his time and explained my condition in word we could understand. You can tell he cares about his patience's and is will to spend time answering your questions.
I was greeted with a warm smile and clean cheerful reception room. Receptionist was attentive, efficient, and helpful . Dr. Haynes was courteous, through and informative. I would highly recommend this office to anyone who is dealing with foot issues.
I chose the lapiplasty procedure to treat my bunion. Had my two-week check yesterday. Dr. Haynes is pleased thus far as am I. I have had very little post-op pain...mainly a little burning sensation at the incision sites. Learning to use crutches and purchased a small rolling stool for better mobility when carrying things and doing simple chores. I am 65 and this was my first surgery. I was so nervous but Pre-op at the Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center was incredibly soothing as was all the staff. The entire experience has been good. 6-week evaluation...all is going well. I didn't realize I was being a bit too nervous about increasing the weight-bearing. Now I have begun getting around without the crutches, and am astounded at how much better my foot is doing...and swelling so much less! Thanks so much also for the scar tape...it works wonders. 10-week final visit...x-ray of bone fusion looks good. Although swelling will remain an issue for a while, I got my foot into a shoe during week 8. I am finding that weight bearing happens gradually and naturally. Getting good rest at night seems to be the most beneficial factor. The incision site, which I am still protecting, and big toe are still 'waking up' and a bit numb. Self physical therapy, deliberately wiggling the toes back and forth with your fingers and massaging the foot, is necessary. It is a strange feeling to have very little mental control over the movement; however, now that the intensity of recovery has lessened and I am regaining mobility, it occurs to me...."I don't have bunion pain!" Thank you Dr. Haynes and Amanda!
Dr Haines was great!
Pierce had a horrible ankle injury needing immediate surgery to repair ligaments. Dr. Haynes was quick and accurate in his diagnosis as well as scheduling the surgery. His staff is top notch as well, especially Amanda, always helpful and doing what it takes. Surgery was a success and with rehab only half way done Pierce is back to full strength and range of motion. Excellent service and easy to work with, we love these guys!
